1.Raw Material Processing
Harvest rosemary leaves during the plant's flowering period, as this is when the content of active ingredients is at its highest.
Dry the leaves using hot air at 45–50°C; freeze-drying is an alternative method, which preserves more heat-sensitive components.
2.Crushing and Pre-Treatment
Crush the leaves at a low temperature to produce particles with a size of 20–60 mesh. Use a sieve to ensure uniform particle size.
3.Supercritical CO₂ Extraction
Under specific temperature and pressure conditions, CO₂ reaches a supercritical state, enabling it to extract specific components from rosemary.
4.Post-Processing
Concentration: Remove any solvent using rotary evaporation or molecular distillation.
Purification: Employ chromatography to obtain a purer product.
Drying: Spray drying converts the liquid extract into powder; freeze-drying is used for heat-sensitive materials.
Packing: Store the extract in sealed containers away from light, maintaining a temperature below 25°C and humidity below 40%.
