As the tower equipment mainly used in the mass transfer process, the gas and liquid phases must first be fully contacted to obtain higher mass transfer efficiency. In addition to meeting the process conditions, the following basic requirements should also be met:
1. The production capacity should be large. That is to say, the processing volume of materials per unit time on the unit tower section is larger. Under larger gas-liquid flow rates, it is still unknown that a large amount of entrainment, liquid blocking or flooding will disrupt normal operation.
2. High separation efficiency. That is, the gas and liquid phase can be fully contacted and the separation effect is good.
3. Large operating flexibility. That is, it has strong adaptability and wide operating range. It can adapt to materials of different properties and can maintain stable operation when the load fluctuates, and still has a high separation efficiency.
4. The pressure drop is small. That is, the resistance when the fluid passes is small, which can greatly save the power consumption of production and reduce the cost. If the pressure drop in the pressure reduction tower is too large, the system will be difficult to maintain the necessary vacuum.
5. Simple structure, less consumables, easy to manufacture and install, which can reduce investment and cost.
6. Corrosion resistant and not easy to be blocked, easy to operate, adjust and repair.
