Molecular distillation is a form of continuous distillation performed under high vacuum. Unlike traditional distillation, which relies on differences in boiling points, molecular distillation utilizes differences in molecular weight. The greater the difference in molecular weight, the more distinct the molecular movement behaviors, resulting in a purer product.

 

 

Structure

 

This is a pilot-scale molecular distillation device, equipped with one 0.1 m² short-path distillation unit. It comprises a condenser, a cold trap, a heat-conducting oil heating unit, a high-vacuum pump, and an electrical control system.
